on AOW.
Your shop sells first in the store for its own region, priced in the local currency. You can also sell in the other two regions' stores, with a separate price for each.
Good to Know Before You Open
- Before you open, you pay a security deposit. It isn't a fee. AOW simply holds it: ¥30,000 in China, A$1,700 in Australia and US$1,200 in the United States. If there are no open disputes when you close, you get all of it back
- Stores selling food or supplements have higher requirements: the deposit is ¥50,000 / A$10,000 / US$8,500, plus a one-off, non-refundable opening fee of ¥10,000 / A$2,000 / US$1,800. Both must be paid before you can list these two categories
- No monthly fee, and no fee to open a store unless you sell food or supplements. We only charge when something sells: 8% of the order's sale price for stores in Australia and the United States, and 4% in China, never counting shipping. For every item sold, we also put 0.2 into the local giving pool, and that comes out of our pocket, not yours
- You ship your own orders. An order is ready to settle 7 days after the buyer confirms delivery, and payouts are made automatically to your payout account on Mondays and Thursdays. If a buyer forgets to confirm, we confirm for them once tracking has shown the parcel as delivered for 7 days
- Every product is reviewed before it goes on sale. AI looks first, and anything unclear, plus dog and cat food and supplements, is checked by our team one by one. Buyers can shop with confidence
- Dog and cat food and supplements are handled as food and supplements whatever category is picked, as soon as our AI recognises them: stores without the full qualifications can't list them, and we tell you what is missing.
How to Open an Online Store
01 · Create an AccountCreate a merchant account with your email in the merchant centre, then add your mobile number
02 · Payouts and DetailsAdd your payout account first (payouts in China are still being set up; add it once they open), then fill in your store details: company, brand and documents
03 · Review and DepositPay the deposit once AOW approves them
04 · List and SellList your products, and you are open
The detailed rules are in three documents: the Merchant Services Agreement, the Merchant Privacy Policy and the Platform Rules. You agree to all three when you apply.
